Privacy, In Plain Words

You're sending us something your child made. Here is exactly what happens to it, written so you can actually read it.

The short version

  • We work from drawings, never photographs of children. Please don't send us a photo of your child — we don't want one and won't use one.
  • Nothing is published without your yes. It's a separate, unticked question, and saying no changes nothing about your order.
  • Anything with your child in it gets a second ask. A reaction video is never posted off the back of the first box you ticked.
  • We don't sell anything to anybody. No data brokers, no advertising networks, no "partners".
  • Ask us to delete it and we do. Promptly, and without asking why.

What we collect

Only what's needed to do the work:

  • The photo of the drawing. The whole point.
  • What you tell us about it. What it is, its name, what your child said about it.
  • Your name and email address. So we can send the illustration back and reply to you.
  • Your child's first name and age, if you give them. Both optional. We never ask for a surname, a school, a birthday, or an address.

What we do with it

We use the photo and your description to produce your illustration, and your email to send it to you and answer any replies. We keep your files afterwards for two practical reasons: so we can resend the illustration if you lose it, and so we can redo it if you come back unhappy months later.

We use third-party tools to help produce the illustrations and to send email. Your child's drawing passes through those tools as part of making the artwork. We don't hand your files to anyone for their own purposes, and we don't sell them.

Publishing — the part that matters most

There is one optional, unticked question asking whether we may show the drawing and the finished illustration on our website or social media. If you leave it unticked, your child's work is never shown anywhere. That's the whole mechanism.

A reaction video is a separate conversation. If you film your child opening the illustration and send it to us, ticking the box does not give us permission to post it. Anything showing your child's face or voice gets asked about separately, every time, and the default is no.

You can change your mind at any point, including after something has been posted. Email us and it comes down.

Deleting your files

Email us and ask. We'll delete the photo, the illustration and your details, and confirm when it's done. You don't have to give a reason and we won't ask for one.

Children's data

This service is for parents and guardians, not for children. Please don't let a child submit an order themselves — the order, the email address and the permission are all yours to give.

We deliberately keep the amount of information about your child as close to nothing as the job allows: an optional first name, an optional age, and a drawing. We ask for no photographs of children at all. That isn't caution for its own sake — it's the simplest way to make sure a data mistake here can never become a serious one.
